Penny
Say sorry and it will be sorted.
No really, you shouldn’t thump Daniel,
You should share the Lego.
Sssss
Say sorry and it will be sorted.
Daniel is sad, he’s crying.
He wants to share the Lego and be friends.
Ssss
Say sorry and it will be sorted.
Why don’t you play in the sand together?
No, we don’t throw it about!
Sss
Say sorry and it will be sorted.
Let’s share a book together. Daniel, you choose.
Okay Penny, we can read Elmer.
Ss
Say sorry and it will be sorted.
Daniel, why don’t you play with Josh.
Penny, who will you play with? No one?
S
Say sorry and it will be sorted.
Sorry Daniel!
Let’s play outside!

S-O-R-R-Y … how many ways?
Sorry I’m late- traffic
On my way- train delayed
Ready in five- computer malfunction
Running late- overstayed my welcome
Yet am I?
Sorry I didn’t call
Only, I lost my phone
Returning the call- no reply
Ready to apologise
Yet am I?
Sorry I let you down
Only meant to cause a frown
Realised my mistake
Really didn’t feel great
Yes, sorry I am.

Earth Angels
Earth Angels surround us everywhere,
Their stretching fingers point to the heavens.
It’s January and they are still and waiting.
They show how,
These cold dark days,
Give time to rest.
No need to rush. Wait.
While rain comes to fill the water basin,
They celebrate, adorn themselves
With thousands of Jewel droplets
Glistening in cloudy gloom.
Knowing time for growth
Will come.
While we sleep safely dreaming
In upstairs bedrooms,
Outside Earth Angels cradle us
With strong roots underground
And praising branches high above.
Mysterious, anonymous,
Camouflaged, rough bark.
Hiding,
A wealth of life within.
So naturally they provide
A home to creatures - many tiny
Ones with fur or feathers.
The remnants of last year’s leaves
are everywhere, unnoticed.
Squashed in corners, underfoot
Stuck to soles of shoes.
It’s Angel food, given to nourish the earth.
And when they breathe, pollution dissolves.
Creating our fresh air!
Their voices whisper through the wind.
‘All we do is for you.’
When I walk, past pavement trunks -
Spaced proudly between concrete slabs,
Politely bowed over tarmac roads -
Each one ends a thought,
With a full stop.
Or an exclamation mark!
When it declares, with stillness and beauty
An Earth Angel life,
And beams ahead a blazing, caring light.

The Well-being Hub
A welcoming place,
Where a community face
A source for changing opportunities
For all people with different abilities.
Here they won’t judge or discriminate,
No matter your age, background or faith.
A hub where we meet,
To chat, write, walk, bake and eat,
Or just greet each other with empathy
Without pressure and feeling no pity.
Let’s gather together around the well
And to the loneliness and misery say forever farewell.
